A friend had a very fun Diwali celebration for the kids with tons of art and crafts. One of the activities was making a table runner out of thick poster paper. She had cut out broad (table runner width and length) strips from colored poster paper and gave each one to a child or a team of two children.
The kids decorated the table runners with ‘rangoli’ designs or any thing they wanted like shapes, flowers, diyas, stars etc. They then had a very merry time embellishing the designs with colors, sequins and more glitter.
The table runners looked very festive and would be the perfect accessory for a Diwali dinner with friends and family!
