Halloween goes very Hi-Tech this year:

1. Google launches its Music Search: Given that two of the top ten queries in the US are music related, Google came out with its Music Search today. When you enter a music-related query — like the name of a song, artist or album — your search results will include links to an audio preview of those songs provided by Google’s music search partners MySpace (which just acquired iLike) or Lala.

Many times, though, you don’t know the name of the song or the artist who sings it. This search feature also helps you find many of those songs by entering a search containing a line or two of lyrics.

In addition, Google has partnered with Pandora, imeem and Rhapsody to include links to their sites where you can discover music related to your queries as well. Google believes that this search also helps people discover new sources of licensed music online while helping artists to discover new generations of fans and reconnect with longtime listeners. They believe that this tool introduces millions of music seekers in the U.S. to a new generation of licensed online music services, from MySpace and Lala to Pandora, imeem and Rhapsody.

2. Meanwhile, Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas is offering a “Trick or Tweet” special to Twitter and Facebook users over Halloween weekend. The casino will tweet messages from @CaesarsPalace announcing exclusive giveaways and food and drink specials for followers.

3. Tweance!

On Oct. 30 between 10 a.m. and noon (in the U.K.), self-proclaimed psychic medium Jayne Wallace, of Essex, England, will conduct an interactive séance on Twitter. Through the site, Twitter users can nominate “departed spirits” they want Wallace to speak to. So far, the tweance page says Malcolm X, Charlie Chaplin, Audrey Hepburn and others have been picked. During the tweance, Wallace will reach beyond the grave to ask questions of the most popular celebrities.

Way too Hi Tech a Halloween!
