I’m thankful that you get out of bed and come to school even when a day on the couch under a blanket sounds much better.
I’m thankful that you walk through the door in the morning with a smile.
I’m thankful that you have a place like Oak where you can learn and grow in a safe environment.
I’m thankful for the little notes I get from you and the silly jokes and stories that you share with me.
I’m thankful that you listen even when you want to talk to your neighbor.
I’m thankful that you try again when it doesn’t work out the first time.
I’m thankful that you don’t give up even when you have to try TONS of times.
I’m thankful that you participate and raise your hand even though you’re shy.
I’m thankful that you aren’t perfect.
I’m thankful that you have lunch to eat every day –even if it isn’t your first choice!
I’m thankful that you try something even when you’re SURE you can’t do it.
I’m thankful that we get to play outside almost every day.
I’m thankful that you care enough to get frustrated and even cry sometimes.
I’m thankful that you have many more happy times than sad ones.
I’m thankful that you’re working on your manners.
I’m thankful that you’re becoming so organized and responsible.
I’m thankful that you have a warm bed to sleep in and a safe house to go home to.
I’m thankful that you have parents who care about you more than you’ll ever know.
I’m thankful that I get to spend from August-June getting to know you.
I’m thankful that sometimes we laugh together.
