Did your child dress up in green for St. Patrick’s Day?
Baaaah!! I did it again! I failed to send my kids in green today !! I always manage to send my older son off to school in his regular clothes every time it is a theme dress day. And then instead of showing him any remorse, I will pull my parent card and make some lame excuse about why it was perfectly okay for him to have worn his blue jeans and black t-shirt when the whole school will be dressed in green today!
Recently, it was Come to School in your Pyjamas day. In spite of my son insisting that he had to go in pyjamas, I insisted that he wear his regular clothes. I was sure that no parent in their parent mind would send their kids off in pyjamas! I later found out that he and two other kids were the only ones not wearing pyjamas in a school with over 1000 kids! Ditto for Dress like a Nerd day- where I must add, the husband also refused to send our son as an express nerd! Again, apparently, the whole school had come in giant sized glasses, over sized ties or pig tailed hair….
One of these days, I’ll send my son to school in green pyjamas, wearing giant glasses with eyes popping out-he’ll be the greenest, greatest nerd in pyjamas there ever will be:) So there!
